Abstract
El presente artículo permite explicitar algunas pistas que expresan las orientaciones académicas del postgrado de Trabajo Social en Costa Rica. En este sentido se plantea un apartado donde se expresan los aspectos formales, luego se plantean algunas aproximaciones de la puesta en práctica de la misma.Se contemplan también algunas posiciones críticas que han emergido en su desarrollo académico. Se culmina con los desafíos que debe enfrentar el postgrado en el momento actual.
