La Investigación-acción: relectura actual y vigencia para el trabajo social

Abstract
En este ensayo la autora plantea una reflexión dirigida a los trabajadores sociales en general y, en particular, a los docentes universitarios, con la cual se pretende examinar la validez actual de un método socioeducativo de interés para el trabajo con organizaciones de base, comunales o sectoriales.
En la primera parte se exponen ideas que sintetizan los aportes de la investigación-acción a la metodología de las Ciencias Sociales, destacando los consensos y discrepancias existentes.
La segunda parte incluye una aproximación que responde a interrogantes surgidas al calor de prácticas pre-profesionales con estudiantes de Trabajo Social de la Universidad de Costa Rica, en las cuales se retoma las ideas expuestas en la primera parte.
Finalmente se plantean preguntas que invitan a continuar el debate en relación con los alcances de la investigación-acción y su contribución para el Trabajo Social.
