Abstract

Deontology and Ethics are extremely important for the Academy of Philosophy and Complex Thought and especially for Philosophy because they are both branches of the profession. It is fundamental to reiterate our commitment to contribute to daily strengthening of Ethics in general and particularly, Professional Ethics. It is badly needed in our social-historical and geopolitical contexts. This is demonstrated whenever we consult the opinion of our citizens, who repeatedly underscore topics related to lack of safety, corruption, intolerance and even justice as core aspects lacking in our Costa Rican society.
