Abstract
Se presenta en este artículo una aproximación a un perfil profesional de un grupo de trabajadores sociales provenientes sobre todo de instituciones en el sector salud gubernamental, basado en dos componentes: Rasgos académico profesionales de los(as) consultados(as), de la institución y caracterización de los procesos metodológicos según sea la intervención: asistencial, socioeducativa - promocional y terapéutica. Los resultados son el punto de partida para la reflexión en cuanto a la formación de trabajadores(as) sociales, y en cuanto a las de decisiones profesionales. La revisión constante de estos aspectos posicionan adecuadamente la profesión dentro del espectro profesional. Este artículo pretende cumplir con el propósito anterior.
