Abstract

This paper is derived from the reflections of academics that arose from participation on advisory committees for final graduation projects, at the licentiate level of the Social Work degree, and from courses and post graduate thesis for Masters in Sustainable Development. The common factor in these experiences is the link between society-related topics (Social Sciences) and nature-related topics. (environmental).

The purpose is to question how the gaps between the categories that are not dissociated are caused. These include, among others, the environment and society.  Accordingly, it urges us us to perceive and and take environmental actions as a trans-disciplinary category.
