La mujer en el modelo de identidad nacional: «Ma Gdakna» y «Manglar»

Abstract
Este trabajo presenta una lectura comparativa de «Magdalena», ensayo dramático escrito y puesto en escena en 1902 por Ricardo Fernández Guardia (1867-1950), reconocido autor de la Generación del Olimpo, y de «Manglar», primera novela de Joaquín Gutiérrez (1918), publicada en 1947 por la Editorial Nascimento de Santiago de Chile. Ambos textos se analizan en relación con los cambios que experimenta la figura femenina en el modelo de identidad nacional:
el paso de la ambigüedad de la oligarquía - la costarricense renegada- a la afirmación de la mujer educadora de clase media.
