Information system of domestic violence and others: an experience of network of care and prevention of domestic violence of Limón

Abstract
The network's attention to the domestic violence of Limón, is comprised of a significant number of institutions which in some cases have databases that allows hem to know the problems that they attend, some others institutions have a manual craft system which makes it difficult to obtain information in a timely manner, but in all cases there is no inter-agency consolidated information enabling them decisions make for the implementation of integrated actions and integrative organization for the attention of violence in a specific population space. Therefore, the implementation of a project for the elaboration of a database that would include all the institutions present in the network information was defined. To do this, set the goal of: establishing a system of information on cases of domestic violence and takes sexual abuse (VIF-ASE) which allow the definition of actions of promotion, prevention and care of the VIF to the RELAPVIF and ASE in the Central Canton of Limon during 2010. Due to the variety of systems used by each institution to maintain its records was necessary grouping them to a single shared system.
